A Comprehensive Analysis of Water Crisis in Kishtwar District of Jammu and Kashmir

Water shortage is a major concern in Kishtwar district as it is impacting the lives of its residents, agriculture and the environment. The analysis is based on all aspects of the water crisis in Kishtwar, focusing on the "why's" of it, its effects, and what Kishtwar and the government are doing about with it. It is believed that climate change, deforestation, poorly built water systems, rising needs for water and contamination are the main reasons behind the water crisis. As a result, there are many changes in farming, health, migration patterns and environmental protection. Even with government programs to help manage and distribute water, the demand for clean water is still increasing. It is suggested to apply better water control measures, save water, farm sustainably, manage pollution and engage communities in managing water resources. Everybody should work together to maintain water and address the current crisis happening in the region.
